Been doing quite a bit of reading lately; no time for detailed reviews but here’s a list of books I’ve bought in the last few months and a very quick rating:
- Jackdaws, by Ken Follet – hated it
- Hyperion Trilogy (Hyperion, Fall of Hyperion, Rise of Endymion), by Dan Simmons – enjoyed it
- The Godfather, by Mario Puzo – non-plussed
- Idoru, by William Gibson – enjoyed it
- Magician, by Raymond E Feist – non-plussed
- The Last Hero, by Terry Pratchett – enjoyed it
- Night Watch, by Terry Pratchett – enjoyed it
- Fight Club, by Chuck Palahniuk – non-plussed (the movie was such a good conversion of it!)
- The Long, Dark, Tea Time of the Soul, by Douglas Adams – enjoyed it
- Ringword, by Larry Niven – non-plussed
- The Mote in Gods Eye, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle – enjoyed it
- Prey, by Michael Crichton – non-plussed (sadly)
